The Natural Pantry
Welcome!
Did you know that our bodies are designed to regulate and repair themselves? It starts with our food, specifically nutrient-dense food. With the proper nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, our body is a thriving self-regulating system. Isn’t that AMAZING?
Did you also know that our body is constantly working towards homeostasis, a state of balance? Yes, that’s right our body is working for us not against us.
About
My name is Dominique Griffin, and I am passionate about all things healthy. I love the life I created with my husband, Christian, and we have three beautiful daughters, ages 17, 15, and 13.
As a mother, life coach, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and food enthusiast, a healthy mind and body are priorities in my life and in my family.
Food is a key element of our lives. It’s enjoyed at celebrations and is a source of comfort but can also be a source of stress or worry. But whether in good times or tough times, food is also necessary.
My passion to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner came from my own daughter’s battle with cancer. She was just 7 months old. It was during her brave fight, that I found a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), who mentored me on how food could help nourish her little body. At the time, I didn’t know the real power of food. Now that I do, I want to teach others. It was after that, I knew I was destined to become an NTP.
Nutritional Therapy is designed to help regulate, repair, and restore the body. The purpose of a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is to draw out a person’s natural tendency to flourish. Nutritional Therapy Practitioners educate, support, and encourage people to grow what’s already true in themselves. I am here to help people achieve their optimal wellness, by educating them about the true value of food, as a source of nourishment for the body, mind, and soul.
I help people reconnect to their food. First, I identify the imbalances in an individual’s body. Then, I create a specific plan with recommendations to ensure maximum nutrient absorption. The diets are bio-individual: unique to each person. Once these changes are in place, I help support and focus on the body's system, including digestion, inflammation, hormone balancing, blood sugar regulation, and detoxification. I help them stick to their short-term goals, which set the foundation for their long-term goals, and bigger-picture goals. I guide them in implementing lifestyle changes, like exercise, sleep, and stress management. I help them tackle the barriers to achieving a healthy lifestyle and encourage them to stay on track along the way.
My ultimate purpose as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is to educate, strengthen and empower you to live a life that doesn’t just mean existing but living the best life possible, and each day to the absolute fullest.
My Services
One on One
One on One Consultation
The first appointment will be 1.5 hours. Dominique will go over your full health history and will answer any questions; then, she will develop a personalized protocol that includes diet, detox therapies (if needed), supplementation, and lifestyle change recommendations.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled every 5-6 weeks, and Dominique will change your protocol based on symptoms and/or changes in health.
With follow-up appointments, consistency is key; the goal is healing, so that when you have completed your work with Dominique, you will have established new habits and lifestyle supports to continue your health journey.
Let’s work together in order to find a wellness approach that works for you.
Corporate Chats
With years of experience, I’ve slowly begun incorporating different strategies into my practice as a professional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
I focus on balancing health through nutrition and lifestyle improvements here in California!
Many clients and friends I speak with express the desire to be healthier while at work, but they don't really know where to start. That's where I come in; I've designed fun and interactive talks/workshops around health and wellness!
I'd love an opportunity to host a zoom lunch and learn at your company to discuss best practices and strategies that are easy to implement in your day to day life.
Pantry & Refrigerator
Clean out & Restock
I know that the journey of changing your eating habits can be one of a challenge, and the best way to do this is to embrace new foods as every day staples.
My goal is to meet you where you are in your food journey and equip you with achievable, small, positive improvements that can make an impact to your health and move you closer towards your personal goals. Transitioning from a Standard American diet to a whole foods real food diet involves a change in what you buy at the grocery store. I walk my clients through stages of pantry and refrigerator clean out/restock.
Cleaning out the pantry and refrigerator is done in stages with respect to clients financial costs, time cost, and emotional shifts. For every item “cleaned out” I offer a recommendation for what to “restock”. Here are the 5 stages I walk clients through.
-
use it or lose it stage,
-
examine your fats stage,
-
check packages stage,
-
ditch the chemicals stage,
-
search out the sugar stage,
-
replace grains stage,
-
last stage - encouraging my clients to get more active in the kitchen.
I want to remind my clients that eating a whole, nutrient-dense food diet most of the time is the biggest and most important health change they can make, and that it can be fun, enjoyable, and stress-free with little planning and preparation.
